Textbook on Constitutional Law by Dr. Veena Madhav Tonapi, Edition 2013
As in my earlier text book on Jurisprudencein this book also I have made a conscious attempt to keep the language simple and explain the meanings of difficult words/phrases/concepts as and when requiredbut this time in foot notes itself rather than in an Independent Glossary, to facilitate simultaneous reference. Every Chapter begins with a detailed synopsis of contents and important caselaws which nearly sums up the salient aspects of the chapter for easy remembrance. As the Constitution provides for more or less parallel provisions in respect of the Legislature, Executive, Judiciary at State and Union LevelI have clubbed the provisions pertaining to State and Union Legislature; State and Union Executive; State and Union Judiciary in respective chapters. Given my own teaching experience of more than two decades I feel this will avoid turning pages back and forth to get at the differences between the State and Union Provisions. I hope that the Tabulations which gives and Immediate grasp of the differences will make the Constitution of Indiathe ``Law of all Laws`` more comprehensible specially for the students.
